  • The most widely used high-stakes English language competency exam in the world is the International English Language Testing System(IELTS).
  • “It is applicable for study, work, and migration, with more than three million tests taken simultaneously.”
  • It’s administered by IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English.
  • IELTS results are recognised by more than 10,000 organizations, including educational institutions, employers, professional associations, governments, and more than 140 countries around the world.
    The test content is developed by a transnational platoon of experts and undergoes extensive exploration to ensure that the test remains fair and unprejudiced.
  • The IELTS test costs Rs. 17,000 and lasts for 2 hours and 45 twinkles.
  • The score runs from 0( smallest) to 9( lowest), and it’s valid for two years.
    • Required Score for  Bachelors –6 overall, no band less than 5.5
    • Required Score for Masters –6.5 overall, no band less than 6.0
  • The test dates are 48 regular dates every year, 4 per month, with 78 test venues throughout India.
