Trip Highlights

Our adventure began at Siggraph Asia. We immersed ourselves in art and technology, exploring creative exhibits that sparked our imagination.

We dove into interactive sessions and hands-on workshops. The innovative displays and digital art techniques fueled our passion for creativity.

The third day saw us engaging in more in-depth creative explorations. We exchanged ideas, learned new skills, and gathered inspiration from every corner of the event.

As the event neared its end, we enjoyed practical demonstrations and insightful talks. We left with fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm for our creative pursuits.

Our final day at the event wrapped up with memorable sessions and reflections on our journey, setting the stage for our next adventure.

We headed to Daegu, where we visited art galleries along Kim Gwangseok Street. The city’s vibrant art scene, coupled with sightseeing and shopping, made for an exciting day.

After checking out of our hotel in Daegu, we took a train to Busan. In Busan, we explored China Town, had fun at the PC Game zone, and enjoyed more sightseeing.

Our day in Busan was relaxing. We spent time at Haeundae Beach and visited Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, soaking in the beautiful views and calm atmosphere.

We journeyed by train from Busan to Seoul. In Seoul, we visited the Korean Art University, experiencing a burst of creative energy before enjoying a delightful dinner with university members.

Our time in Seoul was filled with entertainment. We watched the movie Avatar 2, visited the studio of famous artist Kim Hyun Jin at Superani Studio, and capped the day with some shopping.

We explored more of Seoul by visiting Gangnam Street, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Cheonggyecheon, Gwanghwamun Market, and Tapgol Park—a perfect blend of modern culture and historic charm.

Our busy day took us to a renowned VFX art college near Seoul, SF Film School, followed by a visit to Myeongdong Shopping Street where we picked up merch and books.

Before leaving Seoul, we bought some souvenirs to remember our trip. Then, we boarded a flight to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, excited for the next chapter of our journey.

In Vietnam, we visited the War Remnants Museum and enjoyed some final shopping. Reflecting on our journey, we cherished the unforgettable experiences from every city we visited.

Day 1 - Start of an adventure

We arrived at Hyderabad Airport. Since we were flying from Hyderabad to Mumbai, we had great excitement as the first step of our journey began with an afternoon lunch at the airport. As it was our first international flight, things were really getting tense and exciting. As we reached Mumbai Airport, we got so much time to share the first flight experiences. And from there we went on to have dinner, and we took on the international flight. After a 5-hour journey, we reached Vietnam by transit.

Day 2 - Challenge at Vietnam Airport

As we reached the Vietnam airport, we faced a problem with an on-arrival visa, as they are not promoting on-arrival visas anymore. So as per the conditions, we got stuck in the airport the whole day. We weren’t expecting things like this to happen during our first international trip, but we boosted ourselves and rechecked our itinerary again, and in return we have to come to Vietnam again as a transit, so we planned the Vietnam visa in return.In the meantime, we tried having new food and doing some shopping at the airport. And as time passed, we finally entered the flight, and things started getting positive.

Day 3 -From Vietnam to South Korea

After a long, boring day in Vietnam, we finally arrived in South Korea. As we arrived, the weather started getting very breezy, and we got to know that the temperature dropped to -5 degrees celsius, so we started wearing sweaters and waiting for the bus to arrive. Then after the bus arrived, we had a journey for about 5 hours from Seoul to Daegu, and from there we checked into a hotel that was pre-booked. As it has been a long journey for 2 days, we took a rest and checked out some amazing street food near the hotel. From there we started exploring the area and tried communicating with the people. The temperature was really nerve-chilling during the night.

Day 4 - A Thrilling Start at SIGGRAPH Asia

Our enrollment day at SIGGRAPH Asia Conference began with excitement. We packed our bags and headed to the venue, amazed to see people from diverse countries gathered in one place. After introductions, attendees were assigned groups under team leaders. We then traveled to the conference-arranged hostel, a long distance from the venue. Upon arrival, we settled into shared rooms with people from different countries and languages. Eager to explore, we ventured out and discovered a bustling shopping street, where we enjoyed authentic Korean cuisine with warm hospitality. After a fulfilling day, we returned to the hostel, ready for the days ahead.

Day 5 -A Day of Responsibilities & Celebration at SIGGRAPH Asia

On our second day at the SIGGRAPH Asia Conference, we took on our designated roles. After completing our tasks, we relaxed in the meeting area, surrounded by a diverse selection of global cuisines, offering an exciting opportunity to indulge in various flavors. Later, our superiors hosted a grand celebration to appreciate the volunteers, featuring spectacular performances, delicious food, and an electrifying DJ party. The night was filled with energy, laughter, and unforgettable moments, making it the perfect conclusion to our day and leaving us with cherished memories.

Day 6 - A Day of Inspiration, Culinary Delights & Cultural Connections

Amidst a busy workday, one of us got a rare break to explore inspiring showcases—student presentations, short films, portfolios, and live demo showreels from leading companies. The experience provided valuable insights into emerging talent and industry standards, making it a refreshing change. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious Korean lunch at the event venue, indulging in both freshly prepared dishes and unique packaged foods. With work wrapped up, we ended the day at an Indian restaurant, savoring a comforting meal. Reflecting on the incredible experiences, we closed the night on a high note.

Day 7 -From Setback to Unforgettable Bonding: A Night to Remember

After days of tight schedules, we finally got a much-needed break for sightseeing. Finishing work early, we seized the chance to unwind and planned a visit to a star-gazing viewpoint with fellow volunteers—an ideal way to embrace the night sky. After a satisfying dinner, we set off in two excited groups, only to find our destination closed. Though disappointed, we turned the moment around by gathering at a nearby café, sharing stories, laughter, and bonding. What started as a setback became a cherished experience. As the night grew late, we traveled back together, reminiscing about the day. By the end, an unexpected detour had turned into a beautiful memory.

Day 8 - Farewell to SIGGRAPH Asia

Our final working day at the SIGGRAPH Asia Conference was an enriching experience—meeting delegates, volunteering, attending insightful sessions, capturing memories, and exchanging gifts. To mark the end, our team leaders organized a heartfelt farewell party, bringing everyone together to celebrate our journey and friendships. Excitement filled the venue as we played, danced, and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. Laughter and joy echoed as we reminisced about our time together. As the night drew to a close, a bittersweet realization set in—it was our last day. Walking through the streets one final time, we cherished the unforgettable memories we had created, knowing that the bonds we formed would last far beyond this night.

Day 9 - Exploring Art & Culture of South Korea

After checking out from our hostel, we returned to the one we first arrived at for some rest. Later, we headed out for lunch, sightseeing, and shopping. While exploring, we stumbled upon a lively street filled with music, art galleries, and talented artists. Drawn by our love for art, we purchased some beautiful pieces, supporting the artists and their craft. We then visited bookstores, browsing through art, design, and gaming books, picking up a few gems. Next, we grabbed some anime merchandise before ending the day with a delightful dinner. With bags full and hearts content, we returned to our hotel, gearing up for the next day's train to Busan.

Day 10 -Journey to Busan & First Impressions

We woke up early, packed quickly, and unwrapped our new books and merchandise before checking out. Taking a bus to the railway station, we boarded our train to Busan—a scenic five-hour ride. Arriving by 6 PM, we were relieved to find our hotel nearby, making check-in smooth. After dinner, we explored Busan’s lively streets and discovered a hi-tech gaming café. Excited, we immersed ourselves in gaming before strolling through the vibrant city. As the night ended, we planned the adventures ahead in Busan.

Day 11 - Exploring Busan: A Journey of Discoveries

We began our day heading to an aquarium by the beach, only to find it closed due to the cold weather. Undeterred, we took a bus to a historic mountain temple, braving a steep uphill trek. Rain greeted us upon arrival, but the vibrant stalls, intricate statues, and spiritual ambiance made it worthwhile. The temple’s breathtaking architecture and detailed carvings told stories of the past, while the surrounding scenic beauty added to its tranquility. At a stunning viewpoint, we admired a panoramic view of the temple complex. With a warm coffee in hand, the moment felt truly complete.

Day 12 - Journey to Seoul & A Day at Korean Arts University

After a temple visit, we traveled to Seoul and stayed at a hostel. We then visited Korean Arts University, where we witnessed impressive student projects and presentations. After a memorable dinner with university professionals, we returned to our hostel, eager to plan the next day. The experience was creative, inspiring, and filled with excitement.

Day 13 - Our Visit to SUPERANI Studio

We started the day with Avatar 2 in IMAX, captivated by its stunning visuals. After the movie, we headed to SUPERANI Studio for our much-anticipated meeting with a renowned Korean artist known for his unique style and vast visual library. His hospitality made the experience even more special. After an inspiring conversation, we returned to the hotel for dinner, reminiscing about the unforgettable moments.

Day 14 - A Perfect Finale to Our Journey

As our trip neared its end, we set out to explore and shop, only to be greeted by a breathtaking snowfall that made the city look even more beautiful. While walking, we visited old museums, art galleries, and cultural centers before heading to a massive bookstore filled with thousands of books and stationery. The place was truly awe-inspiring. After wrapping up our shopping, we ended the day on a perfect note.
